Gitanjali 69
The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runsthrough the world and dances in rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth innumberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leavesand flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth and ofdeath, in ebb and in flow.
I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life. And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood thismoment.

About this section
Gitanjali 69 is prose, printed in 4 paragraphs. It is part of the edition and is kept for reading, but nothing here is measured: the line breaks are the printer's, so no metre, rhyme scheme or scansion is stated.
The reader shows the same poem with its rhymes coloured and a stress row above each line, the notes beside their stanzas, and any word's definition on a tap; the analysis page takes the whole book apart. How every part of this site was made.
