The edition dates Charles Webbe to about 1678 — it prints "c. 1678", a guess at when he was born rather than a record of it — and gives no year of death. The poem here comes from Arthur Quiller-Couch’s Oxford Book of English Verse (1900), which prints under this name a single poem, ‘Against Indifference’.
